Updating mono to 5.20.1.19

Dave Curylo
Hello,

I made some adjustments to the port for mono for building and testing 5.20.1.19.  I saw someone had an issue in bugzilla for it, so I attached the diff there.

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=238089

Would it be possible for you to update the port with the changes in that diff so FreeBSD has a very recent mono?

Thanks,
Dave Curylo

I would love to see these changes upstream, as I am a xigmanas user I can't
use make or create the package myself - so I have to wait for the PKG
updates

I wonder, could you potentially make a mono package for me using pkg create,
based on your installation?

My xigmanas is based on FreeBSD12, so if your install in FreeBSD 12 you'd
really be helping me out.

Thanks

I have a similar situation - XigmaNAS with FREEBSD 12.1. In a forum
elsewhere, someone created several mono 6.8 pkgs:
https://sansonehowell-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/p/jsansone/EpfQbi-zytpLhYraiy74XuUBzWXb6l_XwkzUVoc8BzOf1g?e=l702tr
(use password "Mono)

I downloaded the latest version, mono-6.8.0.105.txz, installed it, and
Jackett works fine! (Sonarr, too). I was amazed at how simple and easy it
was.

6.8 also has less dependencies, so I did "pkg autoremove" to get rid of
orphaned pkgs left behind by 5.10
